This is Menashe Zelka, an Israeli football star and captain of Hapoel Hadera football team. Last week he was called up for IDF reserve duty and while that is totally normal for most Israelis who have to do miluim annually, there are certain people who hold certain positions, such as national football players, who can be exempt by law to not even enlist in the IDF and many take advantage of that right but not Menashe! He could easily have gotten out of enlisting but he said that defending the state of Israel was more important.

The Yamam officer who was serioulsy injured early Saturday morning, while on an arrest operation in Jenin which turned into a firefight in which 3 terrorists were killed, is in a stable condition.

His commander said that there has been almost no terrorist killed or arrested in the last 20 years that he has not been at the forefront of in close combat operations. The people of Israel owe this injured officer a lot. Please continue to pray for his recovery.

My friend Gedaliah Blum reached out to me about a Jewish woman who is in need of help. A few years ago she married an Arab man and the relationship turned out to be very abusive, so she escaped with her 2 kids who are 3 and 5 years old. She is restarting her life now and Gedaliah has collected clothes and things for her and her kids but she has nowhere to put it all so he is trying to raise money to buy her a closet.
