This is the first time in history that an F-35i shot down an enemy jet, in this case an Iranian fighter jet (YAK-130) which was shot down over Iran

The last time an Israeli jet shot down an enemy jet was on November 24, 1985, in Lebanon

I ran into former Israeli Defense Minister, Major general Yoav Gallant, at the hotel a few days ago while on the Jewish Brotherhood Mission.

While I don't agree with him on everything, I do give him the respect of being a very high ranking commander / public servant.

So we invited him to give the group a session about his life

An "Only in Israel" moment

While waiting on the side of the road I saw an old man doing some exercise while wearing a ceramic bulletproof vest.

While at first this is quite funny, it also shows how creative Israelis can get in order to find potential solutions for a little bit of extra-safety while under missile attack. This would protect him from being hit by shrapnel (or it just makes him feel safer)

It is also quite sad a reality that people have to even think of doing this.
