A few weeks ago, IDF Golani combat soldiers were stuck in the city of Afula on Saturday night and had to sleep on the floor of the city's central station for an entire night, because only one bus was booked for the soldiers and the driver refused another round.
The mayor looked at the documentation and was amazed to see Golani fighters lying on the floor in his city - and decided to pamper them on a fun day at the city's country club. What a mensch!!!
People who care for their military will have a military that cares for them! Kol HaKavod to the mayor!

Since Szenes would not talk, Hungarian authorities arrested her mother. Both women remained silent. Given the chance to beg for a pardon in November 1944, Szenes chose death by firing squad. Szenes’s mother was instrumental in keeping her daughter’s memory alive – she published Szenes’s diary, poetry and plays. In 1950, Szenes’s remains were buried in the military cemetery on Mt. Herzl.
