The body of 54 year old Israeli hostage Ronen Engel has been returned to Israel. Ronen was abducted from his home in Kibbutz Nir Oz on October 7, 2023, along with his wife Karina and daughters Mika and Yuval. His family was freed in November 2023. He was murdered in Gaza.

This is an interview of senior Hamas official Mohammad Nazzal to Reuters in which he clarifies that Hamas will not disarm and will continue to maintain security control over the Strip which is in complete violation of the ceasefire deal.
