Today is the official National Simchat Torah Massacre memorial day (on the Hebrew calendar)

I don't call it the October 7th Massacre as Gregorian dates are not relevant to Jews for these types of thing.

The Simchat Torah Massacre took place on October 7th 2023 which was on a festival day and so each year we would need to delay it to be 2 days after because we cannot mourn on festival days and also 1 day after the festival is Isru Chag which we cannot mourn also so it will always be 2 days after Simchat Torah on the Hebrew calendar.

As Jews we dont commemorate life events on the Gregorian calendar, only on the Hebrew calendar, though unfortunately many secular Jews have forgotten they are Jews and so they commemorate it on October 7th every year, which is not relevant at all.

May the memories of those who were murdered and who fell in combat forever be for a blessing

IDF performed an air strike in Lebanon now

Last night we had a very meaningful and interesting private presentation by Iranian-American artist / filmmaker, Hooman Khalili, who created 18 powerful murals in support of the brave Iranian people, honoring the courage of Iran's first woman-led revolution.

Hooman was born into a Muslim family but converted to Christianity and his mission is to forge unity among Persians and Jews.
