We were on Kibbutz Elon near the Lebanon border in order to volunteer to help fix up and prepare the place for some of the residents who are returning on Sunday after not living here for a very long time due to all of the Hezbollah attacks.

We then went to the kosher Druze restaurant in the Druze village called Julia.

The founder is a widow of a fallen IDF hero and since October 7th she started to give free meals to all IDF soldiers in the area. She named the restaurant after her son Noor who never got to meet his father

You have to visit this amazing Druze restaurant in Julis which is in northern Israel and it's kosher and meet the owner named Basma and hear her tragic story of the loss of her IDF hero husband and which she overcame that tragedy and gave so much to all the soldiers.

She cares so much about the soldiers that she didn't differentiate between Druze or Jewish soldiers. Her food was not kosher at the beginning but she went out of her way to get kosher certification so she could also give food to the Jewish soldiers.

Kosher certification is very expensive in Israel.
