The Israel Police & Israel Security Agency (ISA) successfully thwarted a 5th assassination attempt within a month, orchestrated by Iranian intelligence. 7 residents from the Beit Safafa neighborhood in Jerusalem were arrested. Under Iranian direction, they planned to assassinate a senior Israeli scientist & a mayor of a major Israeli city.

A 23-year-old suspect from Jerusalem was in contact with a foreign agent, recruiting others for tasks like graffiti spraying, vehicle arson in Ein Kerem & intelligence gathering. They were also tasked with bombing a police car and throwing a grenade at a house, with a promised payment of 200,000 shekels.

The suspects were apprehended near the scientist’s residence after photographing it for 500 shekels to plan the assassination. These activities were thwarted by Shin Bet and Israel Police’s Central Investigations Unit. Searches revealed 50,000 shekels, a fake police license plate, and numerous credit cards.

Last night a group of ultra-Orthodox Jews illegally entered Joseph's Tomb area in Shchem (Nablus) and were forced out and beaten by Palestinian Authority police.

While them being there was illegal as they had no authorization from the IDF, it was not right that the PA police beat them.
