Just before Sukkot, an IDF training base eating hall was hit by a Hezbollah drone attack which killed 4 soldiers. The hall has been renovated and was ready for Sukkot.
My wife's cousin's grandson was on this base the night it was hit. Moments before it the hall was hit, his officer walked in and asked who wants to build a sukkah, so he volunteered and then the hall was hit. He missed being killed or injured by a few minutes. He was with us on Sukkot to recite Birkat HaGomel at the synagogue.
