Israeli "journalist", Yedidya Epstein, went to try get the Arabs by Shaar Shchem (Damascus Gate) in Jerusalem to celebrate the death of Sinwar with him but obviously they are not happy about it and even got a little violent with him.

The poetic justice and irony of Yahya Sinwar's death

1) He was eliminated on the eve of the festival which he started this war to begin with. Simchat Torah is directly connected to Sukkot even though it is a separate festival but it's almost like the loop was closed. The massacre occurred at the end of the Sukkot festival (Simchat Torah) and he managed to survive by complete chance, what are the odds, then gets eliminated, without the soldiers even knowing it was him, at the beginning of the same festival.
