Meet fallen IDF hero Matan Abergil z"l. He was a 19 year old Golani soldier who, on October 7th during the Hamas massacre, without hesitation launched himself onto a grenade which saved 6 of his friends in his unit from being killed too.
His last words to his friend which he landed on after the grenade detonated were: "I tried to do everything to protect the people of Israel"

This was 36 year old Sgt. Maj. (res.) Neriya Shaer, of the 55th Reserve Paratroopers Brigade's 6655th Battalion, from Yavne.
I will be attending the flag march from his home to the military cemetery today with many people in my city.

Today I attended the funeral of the fallen IDF hero Sgt. Maj. (res.) Neriya Shaer who was killed in action in Gaza yesterday.
He was a respected resident of my city, many knew him and he was a teacher to many. Hundreds of residents came to the streets with Israeli flags to show solidarity to the family on their way to the military cemetery.
I compiled this video for all to see. Near the end you will hear one of the soldiers singing for him.
