An update to the hostage release from Gaza
The temporary ceasefire will start Friday at 7am. The first batch of 13 hostages will be freed at 4pm.
Right now 30 female and juvenile "Palestinian" Arabs prisoners have been brought to the Al-Jib crossing (Givat Ze'ev area) as part of the preparatory procedure for the release of the hostages.
IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari warns that there may be changes amid the hostage deal with Hamas, and that the terror group will attempt to use "psychological terror" against the Israeli public.
He says officers contacted the hostages' families and notified them who is being released.
"These will be complex days, nothing is final until it actually happens. And even amid the process, there may be changes at any moment," he says.
"Hamas will try to use the days of the deal and pause in fighting to spread fear, disinformation, and psychological terror," Hagari warns.
He says that the deal is not "the end of the process, but the start."

In recent days, the Nahal Brigade combat team has operated on the outskirts of Jabalya. During one raid, the soldiers identified six terrorist tunnel shafts, one of which was inside a mosque. Rocket launchers and combat equipment were also found in an orchard near the mosque. All the combat equipment and rockets were located near civilian buildings, schools, and residential homes in the area.
During the operational activity, the soldiers located and destroyed 50 mortar shells as well as rocket launchers aimed to fire toward the State of Israel. Additionally, the soldiers directed the Israeli Air Force for a strike on five terrorists identified in the area.
