Today the command of the IDF Paratroopers Brigade was handed over from Colonel Yoav Bruner to Colonel Ami Biton. Yoav has done an exceptional job as the Brigade commander and Ami will be filling very big shoes.

In case anyone in Israel was wondering why over the past few days we have all been hearing massive amounts of Israeli Air Force jets flying around, I counted 15 jets at a time, well there is a National IDF exercise called "Punch Fist (Firm Hand)" which began Monday and will last for about two weeks.
The exercise will simulate multi-arena combat in air, sea, land, spectrum and cyber. As part of the exercise, the IDF's ability to prepare for a prolonged campaign will be tested in several arenas.
Regular and reserve IDF forces, from all commands, arms and wings, will take part in the exercise. The forces will practice dealing with challenges and events in several arenas at the same time.
As part of the exercise, an noticeable movement of the security forces will be felt: military and armored vehicles, jets and navy vessels.
