From convicted criminal to IDF Officer!
After spending time in jail, Lt. Yossi realized that he needed to turn his life around. After undergoing rehab, Yossi, who was exempt from serving in the IDF, realized that he wanted to serve his country as a combat soldier. Today, Yossi is an IDF officer in the Givati Brigade. This is his story!
"When you choose to make a change, it's not like one morning you get up and say I'm choosing to change my life and that's it. It's waking up every morning and deciding that for the next 24 hours, I'm going to do everything I can to take another step forward and not a step back."
Kol HaKavod Yossi!!
May you always succeed in life and inspire others to improve their lives.

My neighbour is the son of the head of Chabad in Yavne and so he had his brothers and brother in laws with him for Sukkot today.
Once we were all finished eating, I called out to him from across the balcony and asked him and his family to sing the song in this video called Hoshea et Amecha (Save your Nation) and so they did and it was awesome. I started singing loud with them and the smile on the one guys face in response to me joining in was just epic.
That's the best part about living in Israel, everywhere you have great people who love life and love to sing.
I have posted a video of this song before but sung by Shlomi Shabbat in a more mellow way, here it is: https://www.facebook.com/ugobey/posts/10165210206690441
This week is chol ha'moed during sukkot and so we are supposed to be joyful and sing a lot.
Chag Sameach!

This morning in the Palestinian Arab area in Jerusalem known as Shuafat camp, our elite special forces police unit, the Yamam, surprised a terrorist when they stormed out of a civilian van to arrest him.
Fast, accurate, fierce and effective!
Love these guys!!!

A very big terrorist attack was prevented today in Tel Aviv!
An 22 year old Arab from Jaffa brought an Uzi to the promenade in Tel Aviv and started to threaten people with it but random civilians subdued him before he could commit the attack.

Israelis doing amazing things for IDF soldiers!
What a legend this guy on the left is! His name is Samuel Levy and is a French Israeli Jew who struck up a conversation at the train station with the IDF combat soldier on the right named Yitzchak.
They were having a regular friendly chat between strangers, the train arrived and they both got on and resumed the conversation there. Yitzchak then received a phone call from a law firm who was informing him that he owes a mobile phone company a fairly large sum of money.
Yitzchak spent some time yelling at the lawyer to try to get it decreased as he can't afford it, soldiers don't earn very much at all and so Samuel took the phone from him and told the lawyer that he will pay for the bill for the soldier without issue. So while on the phone he gave over his details and paid the debt on the spot to the mobile company. 1500 shekels!!!!
Yitzchak was in shock and asked him: "How can I thank you?"

A couple were driving along the highway in the Negev region and were attacked by Israeli Bedouins who threw stones at their car while passing them and tried to run them off the road and just causing problems for them.
They managed to call the police while driving and got away safely though.
