I just got back from the Yom HaZikaron (memorial day) ceremony at the military and security forces cemetery in my city. I filmed this so you could all experience it if you live abroad.

Near the end of the video you will hear the rifles being fired by the soldiers standing in front of me (I got one of the shells after they fired) and then HaTikva soon after.

Likud member, Minister of Strategic Affairs, Ron Dermer, attended the ceremony. He is from America. A small group started to heckle at him disrespecting the bereaved families there but the majority showed respect at least.

I will post pictures in the next post.

May the memories of the fallen be for a blessing!

Some pictures I took today at the Yom HaZikaron ceremony for fallen IDF soldiers and other security personnel at the military cemetery in my city.

My friends from Chabad were there (1st pic), one is my neighbour and is the son of the head of Chabad in our city. Also ran into my friend Ran Malka (3rd pic), a volunteer for Ichud Hatzala who I posted about recently here, one of his brothers is buried here, Rabbi Uriel Malca z"l.

I included the shell of one of the bullets that were fired right in front of me during the ceremony.

See the rest below.
