Incredible news, surprised it took so long!
This is Tat Aluf (Brigadier General) Avigdor Kahalani and he was selected to light one of the torches for this year's Independence Day ceremony.
I have posted about this incredible hero before and so I will repeat my words.
Kahalani is a Yemenite Jew who served as a career soldier for thirty years, achieving the rank of Brigadier-General, and eventually become of Israel's most decorated combat officers. He is one of only 40 IDF soldiers since 1948 to ever receive the IDF's highest award known as The Medal of Valor which is only awarded during wars to a soldier who performs a supreme act of valor while facing the enemy and risking one's life.
During the Six Day War in 1967, Kahalani received the Medal of Distinguished Service for his heroism after being badly burned on 60% of his body while fighting the enemy in his Centurion tank. It was in the 1973 Yom Kippur War, however, that Kahalani's name would be etched forever into Israeli history.

Commanding a tank battalion in the fiercely contested northern region known as the Golan Heights, Kahalani hastily assembled a group of tanks and crews from various armour units to try and repel the Syrians following their surprise assault on Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar.
The vastly superior Syrian forces had already overrun Israeli positions in the first days of the war, but Kahalani's force - outnumbered & outgunned - managed to keep the attackers at bay long enough for Israeli reserve tank and infantry units to push the Syrians back over the border. The battle proved to be one of the major turning points of the war. After the war, the valley where the battle took place was littered with hundreds of burned Syrian tanks and was renamed Emek Ha-Bacha - The Valley of Tears (There was a TV series made about this battle).
He literally was responsible for single-handedly destroying hundreds of Syrian tanks and possibly saved Israel from destruction due to his incredible action & bravery.

Am Yisrael Chai!!! The love of a Jew for another Jew is so powerful! โค๏ธ๐ฎ๐ฑโค๏ธ Here is more footage of the amazing celebration that took place in Beit Shean last night after the collection for paralyzed terrorist attack survivor, Benaya Peretz, reached it'sโฆ
Wow wow wow!! Baruch Hashem!
Many of you donated to help this young man named Benaya Peretz, who was shot in May 2021 by a terrorist, the same attack that killed Yehuda Guetta. Benaya was paralyzed in this attack.
2 months ago I posted to help raise funds for him to have a very expensive and complicated surgery abroad to help him walk again. 4 million shekels was raised to fund it and he recently went through with it and was able to move his legs for the first time after a long long time.
This was all only possible thanks to people like you who donated.

Mazal tov to the commander of the elite IDF mista'arvim commando unit, known as Duvdevan, who has also been chosen to light one of the torches for this year's Independence Day ceremony.
He will do this wearing a mask to hide his face.

Amazing tribute tonight by football fans at a game in Israel who raised a huge sign in memory of Maya, Rina and Lucy Dee, who were murdered in a terrorist attack recently.
It says: "Maya, Rina and Lucy were murdered, we will not forget nor forgive. May their memories be for a blessing and may Hashem avenge their blood"
Amen!

Still think Arabs are not free to do what they want, when they want, on the Temple Mount? This is how they broke their fast of Ramadan there tonight.
They have full freedom to do as they choose. Will the Western media ever show something like this? Never!

My friend Major Ella Waweya, the highest ranking female Arab officer in the IDF, took a video of herself with our great Bedouin combat soldiers, who serve in the Desert Reconnaissance Unit, while breaking their fast for Ramadan at their base.
This unit also has Jews in it and they fight shoulder to shoulder. The unit proves the great harmony that can exist between Arabs and Jews when they not only accept the existence of the Jewish state but are also willing to die defending it like any other Jew.

Not sure if these IDF combat soldiers realise but they actually performed a mitzvah straight from the Torah when they rescued this donkey who belongs to the enemy in Samaria.
Shemot (Exodus) 23:4-5 says "If you encounter your enemy's ox or his donkey going astray, you shall surely bring it back to him."
Kol HaKavod guys!

Hundreds of religious Jews went to pray at the Tomb of Joshua in the "Palestinian" Arab area called Kifl Haris.
At some point the IDF soldiers who were protecting them were faced with the usual "warm welcome" of "Palestinian" Arabs as you see in the 2nd video.

Muslims in Iran made an effigy of a Jew and burnt it on Quds Day last Friday.

Last night in the Neve Yaakov neighbourhood in Jerusalem, an Arab trashed about 10 cars belonging to Jews and then set fire to one of them.
When the police arrived he shouted "Allah Hu'Akbar" to them and was shot 1 time. He was then arrested after.
