Tonight at the Kotel (Western Wall) in Jerusalem after the Yom Kippur services a large group of Jews break out into song together....
This just happened now. An Arab man, who was behaving suspiciously, was caught with a bunch of sharp objects on him in a busy section of Jerusalem.
He was apprehended and is being handled by the security forces in the area. He will be taken in for questioning as per standard protocol to understand his intentions. Usually people don't carry old used and unpackaged knives and forks on them, so it would arouse suspicion of anyone. The interrogation will determine his motive.
Thanks to the alertness of the people a potential attack may have been prevented.

Again this year in Jerusalem, 30 Israeli Muslim Arab paramedics who work for the Hatzalah Union volunteered the entire Yom Kippur to allow the Jewish volunteers to fast and commemorate our Holy day.
If only they all had this mindset, what a paradise we would all live in, in this region in general, not just here.

In Arab media they are currently showing how young Arabs design their own shields to protect them from IDF rubber bullets and tear gas canisters. This video was filmed in the town of Azzun, east of Qalqilya, yesterday.
What really intereted me in this video is what they are putting in their slingshots which they fire at soldiers and it's not stones but rather solid metal nuts and bolts for maximum damage. Which is not to say that stones don't harm or kill but nuts and bolts are MUCH harder and sharp too.
One day, I pray, our leaders will grow a pair of balls and quit messing around and let our soldiers do what is needed!

"We confirm that the resistance leadership has decided that the liberation of the "Freedom Tunnel" heroes who were re-arrested by the enemy, will be against the will of the occupation, and they will be at the forefront of those liberated in any prisoner exchange deal."
The "Freedom Tunnel" heroes are the 6 terrorist prisoners who escaped the Gilboa prison in Israel recently of which 4 of them have been caught.
The "occupation" is Israel.
What they mean in short is that they will put in efforts to kidnap more IDF soldiers and then broker a prisoner exchange with the 4 re-captured terrorists set to be first in line to be released in the prisoner exchange. Let's hope that never happens again like it did with Gilad Shalit after we released 1027 of these savages!

Last night at 23:30, three terrorists were identified approaching the settlement of Neria in Binyamin as you see in this video here.
As they approached the first line of houses, the security forces in the area exposed themselves and the terrorists fled back to their village.

Riots tonight at the Al-Jalama checkpoint near Jenin. These have become nightly riots for some time now.
This time, the Palestinian Authority security forces arrived to keep everyone around the checkpoint away from the IDF soldiers. This is not uncommon as we have agreements with each other so as to not escalate situations. These things can explode literally overnight and then boom we are in an Intifada all over again.

The civilian man pictured in the middle is IDF veteran Golani Brigade commander, Avraham Azot. He also fought in the battle for Mount Hermon in the Yom Kippur War in 1973.
Recently he came to visit the IDF soldiers who are currently serving in Golani with the purpose of meeting the younger generation of combat commanders and to allow them to share their personal stories and thus contribute to the shared identity through the brigade's legacy.
