Wow absolutely amazing!

A large group of kids recently recorded this mix of HaTikva and Vehi Sheamda just in time for Pesach.

Vehi Sheamda is a part of the Pesach festival which we sing.

Baruch Dayan Ha'Emet These were the 2 brothers who were murdered today in Huwarra by a terrorist. They were Hillel and Yigal Yaniv, 16 and 21 years old. May their memories be for a blessing & may Hashem avenge their blood.

Amazing tribute from Yeshivat Givat Olga to the 2 brothers, Hillel and Yigal Yaniv, who were murdered by a terrorist in February in Huwarra.

They sang this for the elevation of their souls.

I posted about them here:

All of these pics are from the 1900s in British-Mandate Palestine (before the state of Israel was formed). They show 2 striking points (perhaps more).

1) Before the Ashkenazi Rabbanut existed, Jewish men and women prayed without a mechitza & even right next to each other. There was never a need to form a Rabbanut, learn more here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xL-SoSwWCkA

2) There were TONS of Zionistic Mizrachi Jews here way before even the first aliyot from Europe. You can see the majority are Mizrachi Jews in these pics. They were here since the 1800s from various Muslim states. Many had lots of money and helped the first European aliyot from Russia and Romania. (thats for another post)

Jews today always assume that there was always separation of men and women in Jewish history and in the Western Wall Plaza but in fact that is very wrong. The Rabbanut have enforced their view of things on the Jews in Israel and have made these separations stricter and stricter by the year. So much so that not one Mizrachi synagogue had a resident Rabbi in history, they had no need for one as all the chazanim and elders already knew Torah and halacha well enough and knew how to deal with situations with a resident Rabbi. Today almost all major Mizrachi synagogues have a resident Charedi Mizrachi rabbi who have made the rules extremely strict and have pushed women and youth further away in the shuls as well as many other things that do not even exist in the mishna.

Dont get me wrong, I am no reformist but this isnt the right way, to get stricter and stricter, that is the way you lose young people from wanting to be religious, which is why the mizrachi community have a massive majority of Jews who mostly respect Torah and Judaism because we dont have that unnecessary strictness (which more so resembles fire and brimstone European Christianity).

Just some food for thought. I am expecting the usual "know it alls" to criticize things they dont really understand but assume they do.
