Hundreds of Israeli police officers of Ethiopian descent arrived to the Kotel tonight for the annual police ceremony for the Ethiopian Jewish State holiday known as Sigd. The holiday actually starts tomorrow night but the police ceremony is always one day before.
In short, Sigd symbolizes the acceptance of the Torah.
The Jewish Ethiopian community are a great one, they are very proud, very faithful and very loyal, they serve proudly in the IDF and police units, they deserve more respect and not because of their skin color, but because of their integrity and sincerity and dedication to the state of Israel and Judaism.

Israelis doing amazing things for IDF soldiers.
This morning these soldiers returned to their base and were heading on the bus towards the south. The bus stopped at a place for the soldiers to have a break and eat. Them and 15 other soldiers sat down to eat at a restaurant and ordered food and drinks.
Suddenly this man came and told them to order what they want and he will pay. The soldiers felt uncomfortable to accept this so they went ahead and ordered the bill. Before they could pay, this man stopped the waiter and quickly paid the entire bill for the entire table.
He told the soldiers that his father was a Holocaust survivor and that's what he would do.
