This pic is from this morning during sunrise, what a powerful moment as you see a team of hero firefighters taking a much needed rest on the side of the road after fighting a massive fire in Jerusalem all night and for the past few days.

These guys are real heros and deserve huge respect. We have a raging fire out of control in Jerusalem for a few days now.

An incredible slichot medley by IDF soldiers.....

We are currently in the period of slichot which leads us up to Yom Kippur. So we sing these verses after midnight with a group of 10 men or more.

Another reason I love living in Israel is because wherever I go I always manage to run into such great people... this is famous American Israeli Rabbi Moshe Zeldman....

I was walking on the promenade with my wife and son when far in the background I heard someone call for a minyan to pray mincha prayers. So I decided to go join and while praying I noticed Rabbi Zeldman praying there too but wasn't 100% sure if it was him. After mincha we started to pray arvit prayers and so I approached him quick to clarify if it is him and so I showed him a video of himself (the same one I linked to in the comments) of an amazing shiur (lesson) he gave which is incredibly intruiging. He nodded and smiled confirming it was in fact him and we continued to pray.

It was a real pleasure to meet you Rabbi Zeldman.

Nice one IDF...
Last night this IDF convoy was driving through the extremely hostile Arab area called Qalqilya when a driver of a car decided to block the road to the convoy. The commander of the convoy requested the man move his vehicle out of the way for the army to pass through and he refused so they moved it for them....nice one!
