A few months ago (August), Timor Aklin, an Israeli Arab ex-Muslim who converted to Judaism, filmed himself casually and fearlessly walking through the Dome of the Rock mosque on the Temple Mount and reciting the Shema prayer as well as said the blessing for a fruit while Muslims were around him. He can only do this as they think he is one of their own but of course if they heard him say this then the result would have been very different.

This was Yocheved Kashi, Israel's first female IDF paratrooper in 1948 who went on to become an officer and a lieutenant colonel.
She was born in Iran and she died today at age 93.
I included a picture of a parachutists demonstration at the opening of the III Macabbiah games. She was one of the soldiers participating.

A few days ago this World War 2 Holocaust survivor had his Bar Mitzva at age 96 in Miami, Florida. His name is Mr. Lemel (Leon) Shegrin.
