It is 23:30 right now in Israel and we have reached 88.9% of the votes being counted. Currently the double envelopes are being counted which consist of IDF soldiers and other security personnel who had to have voting stations brought to them where they serve.

So far in the past 12 hours nothing has changed in terms of coalition mandates, this is a good thing. The right wing have a landslide majority of 65 to the 45 the left have. So the amount of votes being counted have gone up a lot but it hasnt negatively impacted the current values in the pie chart you see. If things remain like this then it is impossible for the left wing to form a government even with the Arabs who have 10 mandates.

Meretz and Balad have zero mandates and their percentage is dropping more and more.

Double Envelope votes are people like IDF soldiers on duty who cannot leave their posts whether on land or sea, people on rigs out at sea and various other jobs that the person cannot leave to go vote. The person voting puts their vote into a regular election envelope and then they take another envelope and write their name on it with ID number, then they put the envelope with the vote in it into the other envelope and seal it. This way they know that they already voted and so cannot vote twice. The guys in the video then take out the envelope from the one that has their name on it and write the name and ID down and then they put the anonymous envelope into a pile that is mixed up and so nobody knows who voted for what.

Hence Double Envelope votes.
