Today is Israeli elections. This is a song for Rosh Hashana and even though thats past, I feel we need to put our positive energy into this important election by celebrating it like a chance to renew and set our future right like we do on Rosh Hashana.

We should also celebrate our right to vote in a democratic state that we longed for for 2000 years. Voting is a privilege that most countries in the world do not have. Don't take it for granted.

Me and Avi Dichter of the Likud party in Ashkelon. He is an ex-Kadima member.

Avi was the Director of the Shabak (Shin Bet) and the Minister of Internal Security and served in Sayeret Matkal (special forces). He is also fluent in Arabic.

An Arab man tried to kidnap a Jewish Haredi woman in Tiberias but she luckily got away. He was arrested and they are checking if it was related to terrorism.

At a voting booth today, a group of Chabad guys set up a Tefillin (phylacteries) stand to allow Jews there to put on Tefillin while waiting. Tefillin are what male Jews put on during morning prayers.

The guy in the video in the green t-shirt, who is an activist for the far-left wing party known as Meretz, took a set of Tefillin and he rubbed it on the area where his genitals are, which is an absolutely disgusting thing to do and extremely disrespectful. This is something that happens quite often with Meretz voters, I have shared many videos before of them behaving disgustingly to religious Jews even though they themselves are Jews.

However the other activists in the same green t-shirts, who are also Meretz activists, did not appreciate what that guy did so in order to show solidarity they all asked the Chabad guy to put Tefillin on them, which is a mitzvah that they did whether they believe it or not. In my eyes they performed a double mitzvah, one of showing respect to their fellow Jews and another of putting on the Tefillin.

In general I have zero respect for this party and it's voters, they are some of the worst people in Israel who often do and say disgusting things to religious & Mizrachi Jews and mostly have zero respect for the real Jewish character of Israel, they go out of their way to turn Israel into a little atheistic Europe and many of them would give up Israel to the Arabs in a heartbeat.

This situation, however, was switched nicely and I give credit where credit is due. It takes courage for them to do this because if you understand their world then it impressed me that they did this without hesitation even though in general they wouldnt dare be seen even dead with Tefillin on in public, as it goes against their entire outlook on the world.

To the guy who did this disgusting despicable act, shame on you but to the other guys who didn't join in, which they could have, kol hakavod to you, I pray the act of the mitzvah positively affected you that one day you will come to your senses and walk away from that toxic elitist divisive party known as Meretz.
