Peter R. de Vries was shot on Tuesday evening on the Lange Leidsedwarsstraat in Amsterdam, Het Parool reported . The crime journalist, who is also active as a football agent, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. According to reports, De Vries was shot in the head.
De Vries was a guest on the television program RTL Boulevard on Tuesday evening. At about 7:30 am, when the program had just ended, the journalist was shot outside the studio. The Amsterdam Police Unit has placed a search message on Twitter. “Several emergency services have been called and the police are still looking for the suspect(s),” the police writes. There are videos circulating on the internet, showing that De Vries is badly battered on the street.
