Despite a whirlwind 2025, which included supports with The Sex Pistols, The Undertones, selling out headline shows across the UK and Europe, Glastonbury, 2000trees, and Download Festival, Lily (guitar and vocals) and Lewis (drums) somehow managed to find the time to write and record 11 tracks of their most politically charged, hard-hitting music to date.
With producer Dan Weller at the helm, Business is a modern punk classic. Fan favourites like 'So Modern' (Keep Up)' are captured with all the energy and scuzziness from the band's live show, and title track 'Business' goes hard, taking taking aim at the challenges found within today's music industry.

Since exploding onto the UK scene, The Meffs have built up a reputation as purveyors of frantic punk rock and an absolute must-see live sensation. 'Business' serves the testament of band's growing reputation.

A meta-expression of its own creation, the record functions as a purely inward-facing auto-response. An album for nobody in particular, or perhaps particularly for nobody.

Side A features songs performed and produced by human musicians, rooted in the project’s established language: a balance between rock and electronics, physical energy and melodic focus. Side B uses the same tracks as raw material, reworked through artificial intelligence tools and transformed into experimental electronic remixes — more unstable, nocturnal and club-oriented. Commenting on the concept of the release, the founding member Tommaso Mantelli explains: “Captain Mantell has always gravitated around non-human presences, and right now we feel AI is the most immediate and unresolved version of that idea, a new kind of alien presence, something already embedded in our lives, but still not fully understood. At a certain point we felt that making just another rock record wasn’t enough, and this was the right moment to push things further and reflect what’s actually happening around us right now.”

Excited to announce that Texas' Cornpone join the roster of clients of Discipline PR. The band most of you haven't heard of. But the one that became crucial for the Texas underground scene.
Formed in the late 1980s in Hewitt, Texas, Cornpone began as a garage project before evolving into one of Austin’s most unpredictable noise-punk acts, drawing inspiration from the raw energy of underground pioneers including Big Boys, Scratch Acid, The Dicks, and Butthole Surfers. Through years of lineup changes and experimentation, the band’s defining lineup came together with Anthony Pedone (guitar, vocals), Craig Merritt (bass), David “Spanky” Morrow (guitar), Jarred Brown (drums), Coby Cardosa (drums, keys), and Jennie Armour (vocals). Together, they created the explosive mix of noise, performance, and chaos that would become synonymous with Cornpone’s live reputation. Anthony recalls: “The songs had finally caught up to the chaos. Live, the band was a wrecking ball: loud, theatrical, unpredictable, and somehow locked together tighter than ever. Offstage, we were falling apart.”

Cornpone had become one of Austin’s most notorious live acts, moving from house shows to performances at venues like Emo’s and releasing their first official recordings.
The recordings became the final document of that era. Shortly after the sessions were completed, guitarist David “Spanky” Morrow passed away, bringing Cornpone’s run to an abrupt end. The band dissolved, members moved on, and the tapes disappeared, seemingly forever.
But decades later, the original masters resurfaced, surviving a studio fire, a trip to the dumpster, and thirty years of bad luck.

Australian Cattle God are presenting the series of split-singles from Cornpone ahead of the upcoming LP release in 2027. While the split-single with Suckling is out now, two more coming this July 24...
