《魔戒: 咕噜》于今年5月发布，一经推出就受到了媒体和玩家的一致差评，成为了各大综合评分网站的2023年最低分，几天后官方就游戏质量发表了一封道歉信。最初就有人发现，道歉信连作品名称中的"Rings"都能错误拼写成"Ring"，现在一切都说得通了......
据德国游戏媒体 Game Two 报道，开发商 Daedalic 根本不知道这封信的内容，道歉信是发行商 Nacon 在未经工作室批准的情况下直接发布的。两名匿名消息人士还透露，这封道歉信甚至是由人工智能 ChatGPT 撰写，并且未经检查或校对。
