This has enabled us to develop and deliver what is, to the best of our knowledge, the world’s first 📱 mobile-phone-based introduction to Python using Harvard University's CS50 open-source content 📕

Students who performed well in this course will be admitted to the 12-week long intensive DirectEd coding bootcamp as Djed Scholars.

Introductory Coding Course Success!
Our first remote mobile-first coding course was a resounding success, with around 60 students participating and a retention rate of over 70% 🤓 !

This is a significant improvement compared to existing Massive Open Online Courses (#MOOC) with retention rates in the single digits!

Our next step is to partner with more high schools to offer a second round of the intro course. This will enable us give more students this life-changing opportunity!
