Becoming a self-taught programmer requires more than just motivation; it demands discipline. In this world, where determination and hard work are deeply ingrained, relying on discipline rather than motivation can be the difference between success and stagnation.

While motivation may fluctuate, discipline remains a constant force that keeps aspiring programmers on track. By establishing a structured routine, allocating dedicated time to learning, and adhering to it, self-taught programmers can ensure consistent progress.

Discipline enables programmers to overcome challenges, such as limited resources or a lack of formal guidance. It fosters a growth mindset, allowing programmers to embrace failures and setbacks as opportunities for learning and improvement.

Day 17 – 20πŸš€
These days were all about flexing 😁 β€” diving deeper into CSS Flexbox 🧩 while also touching on randomization, lists, and beginner-level Python to get started with my upcoming DSA challenge for the next months.

Right now, I’m a bit busy and distracted at home 🏠, but I believe once I’m back on campus πŸŽ“, I’ll get more comfortable and focused. With God’s help πŸ™, I’ll fix these distractions and keep pushing forward πŸš€.

August Monthly Report

Month 1 Reflection πŸŽ‰

Today marks the first day of September, which means it’s been about 1 month since I started this amazing journey.

Out of 30 days, I’ve been consistent for 20 πŸ“† (around 66%) β€” not perfect, but progress. The missing days came from distractions by family, friends, and other stuff πŸ β€¦ but I’m learning to minimize those and maximize focus.

Here’s what I’ve achieved so far:

βœ… Completed HTML & CSS Foundations or Just Introduction (almost done)
βœ… Built 2 mini projects πŸ’»
βœ… Refreshed Python basics (from my uni pre-engineering course)
βœ… Got started with Linux, Git, GitHub & CLI ⚑️ (getting comfy with the dev environment)

This is just the beginning . Once I’m back on campus 😍 in 2 weeks πŸŽ“, I’ll be even more focused and consistent.

Day 21πŸš€

Today I studied and practiced on loops in Python, got an overview of Big O Notation, and started figuring out how & why to dive into DSA πŸ’».

Sometimes I wish I had discovered and joined the digital world back in high school πŸ€”. But I believe God has a plan for me πŸ™. I don’t regret it β€” I spent that time building other skills and focusing on academics .

Realizing this path even in my 20s ( specially being as uni student ) is still a big opportunity .

Day 22 πŸš€

I’ll be honest with you guys β€” I couldn’t code for the last 3 days because of some family issues 😭. And that really showed me how distractions and unexpected things can easily slow down progress.

But today, I’m finally back on track πŸ™Œ
βœ… Studied Python data structures (List, Tuple & Dictionary)
βœ… Solved my very first problem on LeetCode πŸ’»βœ¨

This feels like the real start of my DSA journey! I know it won’t be easy, but step by step, consistency wins.

And I believe once I get back to campus, where I can focus fully, real progress and magic will happen πŸ”₯

Let’s keep moving forward πŸš€

It’s your choice β€” pick one.😊
Day 23πŸš€

Today I got back to my CSS journey by revising what I had learned before and also solved 2 problems on LeetCode. It feels good to mix frontend progress with problem-solving practice because both challenge me in different ways.

Right now, I’m also preparing to return to campus β€” and honestly, I’m super excited for it.
I believe once I’m there, I’ll be able to restore my rhythm, refocus fully, and cut down on all the distractions.
For me, it’s more than just going back to classes, it’s like officially announcing my freedom πŸš€.

Sometimes you need a new environment to unlock your best version. This is that moment for me πŸ™Œ

Day 24 πŸš€
Today wasn’t heavy on coding β€” I spent most of my time with friends I hadn’t seen in about a year. It was such an amazing time πŸ™Œ, but I still managed to solve 1 problem on LeetCode βœ….

By the way, I’ve decided to pause my web development journey for about 2 weeks. The reason is my tight schedule right now, so I’ll be focusing fully on DSA during this time. Once things settle, I’ll definitely get back to web dev and continue where I left off .

Balance is important β€” enjoying life, building friendships, and still making progress toward the bigger goal .

Digital Grind at Digital Library πŸš€πŸ”₯

Hey guys!! Guess what β€” I’M BACK on campus and the grind has officially started again πŸ’»βš‘οΈ.
These past weeks I wasn’t posting much, not because I quit, but because life was happening: preparing for uni & celebrating the holiday.

But now everything changes. Being back at Campus feels like a reset button β€” new energy, new focus, new discipline. I’m independent, free, and ready to take full control of my journey .

Today I kicked things off at my new home base, the Digital Library . From here, it’s going to be endless hours of coding, problem-solving, and pushing myself to the limit.
No more distractions, no more β€œsomeday.” The next months are going to be all about one theme: Digital Grind at Digital Library πŸ˜….

This is bigger than just coding β€” it’s about proving to myself that consistency beats everything. I know there will be challenges, but with focus and faith, I’m ready to make it happen.
So here we go β€” the next chapter begins NOW πŸš€πŸ”₯.

Day 25πŸš€
Today was all about grinding on LeetCode.
But honestly… I didn’t manage to solve even a single β€œsimple” problem πŸ˜₯. Rightnow I stuck on one question for over 30 minutes β€” and it’s really annoying. Sometimes I even catch myself thinking: β€œIs problem-solving a gift for others and maybe I’m just not that person?”

But here’s the truth I keep reminding myself: problem-solving is never easy at the start. It’s not about talent, it’s about patience, practice, and persistence. Diving into this world is super challenging, but once you keep pushing through, the process itself becomes rewarding.

So yeah, today wasn’t full of wins, but it was full of confusion and disappointment πŸ€¦β€β™‚

Day 26 πŸš€

Still on my DSA grind . Today I worked on more LeetCode problems β€” some wins, some struggles, but that’s the journey πŸ˜….

It took patience, a lot of trial and error, and resisting the urge to give up β€” but the feeling of finally hitting Submit and seeing β€œAccepted” was worth it. βœ…
Day 27 πŸš€
Back on campus vibes (one week Since I came back to campus ) β€” library was totally empty πŸ˜…πŸ˜ Sitting alone felt a bit weird, but also peaceful. Sometimes being alone has its own strength πŸ’ͺ.

Spent the day grinding LeetCode and reflecting on life. Even just breathing is a blessing we often overlook. Grateful to God for everything πŸ™βœ¨

Day 28 πŸš€ ( Yesterday Wednesday )

Today was really annoying 😩. I tried solving many LeetCode problem by switching from one problem to another , but the questions felt way too hard β€” I couldn’t even get started with the solution, even after reading the editorial. That’s when I realized something important: just knowing syntax and having a basic understanding of one programming language isn’t enough.

So, I’ve decided to pause the LeetCode grind for a while and go back to brushing up on my DSA skills. I need to build a stronger foundation first, then I’ll come back to the problems with more confidence πŸ’ͺ.
πŸ‘Œ2
Day 29 πŸš€
Spenting almost 1 hour trying to solve a single β€œeasy” question on LeetCode 😭. Butβ€œEvery pro was once a beginner.” 😁

TBH β€” I sometimes regret not starting tech stuffs earlier, like back in high school or even as a freshman at AAU.

But here I am, a second-year student, just getting started 2 months ago.
I’m making the most of this time before classes begin, getting comfortable with coding and building my foundation. Step by step, I’ll get there ✨.

πŸŒ… Morning vibes outside campus

Woke up with a fresh mindset today β€” nothing feels better than starting the day early, walking around campus, and reminding myself why I’m here.

Grateful for  this freedom, and the journey ahead πŸ™

Let’s grind and make today count πŸ’ͺ✨
