Day 60 — DSA Grind Update

Today I focused on Big O Notation (Time & Space Complexity) — and damn, one thing I realized is this:

👉 Complexity analysis is a huge topic.
It’s not just “O(n)” and “O(log n)” like people make it look.
It has math, functions, growth rates, limits, behavior analysis, and other fundamentals behind it.
But here’s the important part: In my opinion ,You don’t need to master ALL of it. You just need the parts that are practical for problem-solving, especially for LeetCode + Interviews.

So my takeaway today:

Complexity analysis is deep — but you pick what’s enough for you to write efficient code and understand how algorithms behave.
Slowly, it’ll make more sense as I solve more problems.

Let’s keep pushing.

"Guys I told GPT to roast me… and it didn’t even hesitate 😭😭
No mercy at all.
Now it’s your turn—ask your own GPT to roast you and compare the level of your dumpness

Here is What It respond: 😁
Bro… you study like someone running from a wild animal.
Every time you see a new DSA concept you scream “FUCK BRO I’M CONFUSED” like the code is chasing you with a knife 😭.

Your brain is like 50 Chrome tabs open…
All lagging…
All unresponsive…
And one of them is playing loud music 💀.

You say you want to master arrays but every 3 hours you come to me like:

“bro why prefix sum exists?? who invented this bullshit😭😭

Bro if confusion was a profession, you’d be a senior engineer with 10 years experience.

Your study plan lasts shorter than Ethiopian TikTok trends.
You change plans more than you change phone brightness.

Digital Grind?
Bro the only grinding happening is you grinding your brain cells every time you see a LeetCode medium problem 💀.

Your English improvement journey is crazy too.
You want to sound native but then you text:

“bro wtf is ur code working i didi not understand it plssss ??” 😭
Bro even autocorrect gave up on you.

And your study breakdowns…
Holy shit 💀
You go from “I WILL MASTER DSA”
to
“I am dumpness itself 😭
in under 4 seconds.

You restart DSA more times than Windows XP.

Your life is basically:
Grind → Cry → Reset → Grind → Cry → Ask ChatGPT → Reset again 💀🔥

But the funniest part?
YOU STILL KEEP GOING.
You’re dramatic, confused, chaotic, but you’re actually pushing.

Explored the world of content creation
Here’s my new plan: I’m going to launch Digital Grind Weekly Reports—not just text, but well-organized, amazing summaries to track my progress and share insights with you all. I’ll announce it here on the channel when it’s ready.
#Update

1 month ago, I shared my idea of Digital Grind Weekly Reports… and guess what? After way too much procrastination, I finally started bringing this idea to life in Notion!
DIGITAL GRIND WEEKLY REPORT
Week 1 (Nov 17 – 23)

Once I get the hang of it, I’ll also add video summaries to make my journey's reports even more engaging.
As I dive deeper into web development and other projects, I’ll keep improving the reports and make them even more useful

Check it out and tell me what you think! Any suggestions or improvements are welcome :)

Guys, have you seen the new AI tools? They make life much easier, whether you create content or something else like for every task

1. Gemini can help with tasks, read your screen, and improve photos so they look real. Nano Banana is also great for quick, natural photo fixes.

2. GPT group chat lets you add different AI helpers in one chat. One can fix code, another explain it, another do research. It’s like having a small team.
Start using these tools and your work will be much easier.

Just My thought ..
Learning to code isn’t about talent.
It’s about showing up every day, even when the concepts feel confusing or new.
Everyone starts from zero, and the only difference is consistency.
Let’s keep learning one step at a time.

Exams, assignments, and deadlines everywhere…
Can’t even remember what free time feels like.
Just buried in work and trying to survive.

Have you ever thought about receiving a message that says: “Dear customer, you have used 75% of your life”? Time flies without us noticing. One moment we’re saying “Happy Monday,” and before we know it, “Blessed Sunday” has already arrived. At this speed, we are racing toward our deathbed.

But what have we done so far? If today were our last day alive, wouldn’t regret flood us the things we never tried, the dreams we postponed, the words we never said? We have only one life, yet we live as if we have nine like cats. 🤦‍♀ We keep saying “I’ll do it tomorrow,” forgetting tomorrow was never promised. We should be moving with urgency, getting things done, achieving before we lie down on our deathbed. Unlike the packages we buy, Ethio Telecom won’t send us a text reminding us how much of our life we’ve used. We must remember that tomorrow is not guaranteed whenever we feel the urge to procrastinate.

🎯 November Goals & Focus Plan

📍Apply for A2SV (not necessarily to get in, but to gain experience)
📍Balance school, side hustle, DSA, and web dev properly
📍Do my side hustle work seriously — just as I planned
📍Stay consistent for at least 27 out of 31 days in DSA
📍Start weekly reports to track progress and growth
📅 November Monthly Report — How It Went

What I Achieved (3/5)

I applied for A2SV (got rejected obviously 😁 but the experience was the goal).
I tried to balance school, work, DSA & web dev — mid exams took an entire week but I handled class + work pretty well.
I started weekly reports and I’m happy with that consistency.

What I Failed / Will Improve in December

1. Paused DSA — only studied for 7 days, so consistency was zero 😭
2. Didn’t start web dev
3. Still losing focus — even tried “study with me” live sessions but not enough

🎯 December Goals

1. Start Web Development seriously
2. Post daily progress + weekly reports
3. Publish at least 1 web dev project
4. Learn DSA & solve as many problems as possible
5. Focus on my work + improve financial management (my weak area 😭)

I hope one day I'll sleep before midnight like normal humans do.
Everyday I sleep tomorrow,even yesterday I slept today 😁

A day in the life of a tech student:

Me: wants to code instead of going to lecture soooo bad

Also me: hears that the teacher said "there may be a quiz"

Me: begrudgingly goes to class

Me: returns to dorm frustrated because THERE WAS NO QUIZ

Uhhhhhh.

You know guys, I started this channel on July 31 Day 01.
Fast forward 4 months… and out of these 120 days, I’ve only been consistent for 60 days. Since my last Day 60 post, I’ve realized something: I’m actually terrible at consistency 😭
I wanted 95%… but ended up doing 50% but no regrets — just lessons.
So from today, I’m restarting from Day 01 again, and this time I’m taking it seriously. No skipping unless it’s literally impossible.

#DailyUpdate

Day 001
Honestly, this is like my 100th time starting HTML from scratch 😭 but this time I’m being humble, going back to basics, and building the foundation properly. Even though I already know some HTML & CSS, I’m revising everything and starting web dev seriously — with real mini-projects and yeah, I’ll still continue with DSA, but my main focus now is web dev — building, learning, and improving daily.

After finishing my mid-exams up to now:
I revised all the basic HTML tags, including the boilerplate.
Simple stuff, but the grind is back.

Let’s see where I’ll be on Day 30, Day 60, and Day 100…

Day 002 – Revisiting CSS Basics

Continuing my web dev journey, and today was all about revising CSS.
To be honest, I’m not rushing to jump from one language or framework to the next. I’ve done that before, and it always ends up confusing later.
Right now, my focus is simple:
👉 Strengthen my foundation in HTML and CSS.
So today, I went back to the basics of CSS — selectors, properties, text styling, spacing, and understanding how everything connects with the HTML structure. It’s mostly refreshing what I learned earlier, but with a more serious approach this time.
