You were told FICO was created by a data analytics company in San Jose. Fair Isaac Corporation. Founded 1956. Publicly traded. Transparent methodology.
None of that is true.
A declassified internal memo from the CIA's Directorate of Science and Technology — dated February 1989 — outlines a program called "CITIZEN COMPLIANCE INDEX." The memo's stated objective: "Development of a universal behavioral scoring system for civilian population management, deployed through private sector channels to avoid constitutional scrutiny."
The memo is signed by three individuals. One became the CEO of Fair Isaac in 1991. One became a Federal Reserve governor in 1994. One was later identified in the Church Committee follow-up investigations as a handler for Operation MOCKINGBIRD media assets.
Your credit score wasn't invented by a finance company. It was engineered by an intelligence agency and laundered through the private sector so that no constitutional challenge could reach it.
