🚨 A Somali national living in Maine posted a MURDER BOUNTY on social media targeting a local journalist who publicly exposed widespread welfare fraud within the state's Somali immigrant community

"KAN HAWAADA KU CUUN DHIIGIISA 50SH BAA NAGU SOO HAGAAJIYE"

English translation:
"Let this one's blood be spilled in the air (i.e., let him be killed publicly/brutally).
50 camels are enough for us to get this done."

(Note: Offering 50 camels is a traditional Somali way of placing a high-value blood bounty or reward for killing someone. This is a direct death threat.)

Those threats and apparent murder bounties were made on Facebook after the outlet shared a Somali-language version of investigative reports detailing whistleblower allegations and state audit findings which showed that the Somali-run migrant agency had over-billed MaineCare by nearly $800,000 from Jan. 1, 2017 to Dec. 31, 2018.

Gateway Community Services, a “migrant agency” Ali founded in 2014, has billed the state of Maine roughly $5 million per year for MaineCare services while simultaneously receiving hundreds of thousands of dollars in no-bid contracts from the administration of Gov. Janet Mills (D).

Abdi Najib Abdullahi and Ayanle Abdullahi Aden, both of whom are relatives of Gateway Community Services CEO Abdullahi Ali. The threats were published Friday in a series of Somali-language Facebook posts that targeted Jubbaland Media and attempted to dox the journalist who controls the account. (I’m opting not to name the journalist.)

Dominion, and its employees, operated an illegal operation on our soil which was supported and controlled by foreign actors. The Colorado Secretary of State, Jena Griswold, aided and abetted Dominion and foreign countries in targeting Mesa County Clerk, Tina Peters.

First, Dominion directed Ms. Griswold to assist in deleting all data from Dominion brand election equipment by ordering a statewide “Trusted Build”. Secondly, Dominion demanded “criminal charges” be brought against Clerk Peters when it discovered that she had the only copy of the 2020 election data pursuant to conducted on Dominion brand equipment. Clerk Peters copy of data was lawful and she was entitled to image and preserve the 2020 election data pursuant to the contract Dominion signed with her as the Clerk of Mesa County. Moreover, Clerk Peters was required to preserve the evidence of the election for 22 months pursuant to federal law 52 U.S.C. § 20701.

Clerk Peters’ lone copy of the Colorado 2020 Election is essential. Moreover, as is explained below, regarding current investigations, Clerk Peters is a necessary and material witness. She can testify as to chain of custody, corroborate recent responses to search warrants, etc.”
