Deborah Baz Fountas, 69, of Shelton #fullyvaccinated

4/26/24 - at Smilow Cancer Center

“UPDATE: Dr. Ratner was wonderful! She wasn't overly concerned. She explained everything and presented 2 options: 1) Remove both ovaries (she would look at them thru a microscope to see if there's anything precancerous), and take a biopsy of the uterine lining but I wouldn't have those results for 7-10 days. OR, Option 2) Full hysterectomy. Recovery time for both is 6 weeks. I chose option 2 because if the results from the uterine lining showed something, I'd need another surgery. Probably will have this done in June/July as I need to do some preoperative stuff, plus go on a planned vacation AND go on my annual spa trip with my friend, Linda. Life doesn't stop, and now I have a plan to get this done!

“But no worries. Just because I'm at Smilow doesn't mean I have cancer. What it means is I'm being proactive with my health, and no matter what it is, I am confident I caught it in the early stages”
Cj Rainey, of Milford

4/25/24 - “The staff at Milford hospital worked diligently around the clock to find the cause in order to properly treat my son, Cj Rainey. My son was diagnosed with Shigella which is a bacterial infection he caught from someone who prepared his food and were sick and didn’t properly wash their hands. We are not going to expose the places he went to purchase his lunch. Please workers if you are sick…stay home…. Most importantly wash your hands thoroughly because my son has been in ICU since Tuesday because of the carelessness of someone

Cj is engaged to Anthony Montoya. Anthony is a Cardiac Monitor Technician at Norwalk Hospital (Nuvance Health - mandated 💉)

** Since 2021, Cj has traveled to Miami, Dallas, Houston, Puerta Rico, Barcelona, and Paris. His mom failed to mention that Cj just returned from a road trip to Atlanta a month ago.

The story mom tells . . . that her son is in the hospital because someone didn't wash their hands. 🤪
