"Sometimes it takes a lot of coming back to the hospital to get lots of chemo medicine to get rid of the cancer cells"

** Showing a child that the solution to destroying her cancer is to use an abundance of chemicals to dissolve them. Just inject more toxins into the human body. 😡😡

I lived with IGA Nephropathy my whole life but never expected to be affected by CKD so young. My life changed but I pushed through my senior year of college, doing everything my doctors told me to do, and graduated (from UCONN) in May 2022 with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing"

"In Dec 2022, I started hemodialysis. I started working part time as a nurse while on dialysis because it made me feel a little less sick - 3 days a week working, 3 days a week going to dialysis"

"But on May 10, 2023 (1 year ago!) an amazing human came along & he donated his kidney to me. I am forever grateful for this life he’s given me"

We are currently at Yale while he undergoes a port placement and yet another biopsy. He has lost over 30 pounds, and after his first aggressive chemo treatment just over a week ago, he just doesn't have the strength work. I told him his full time job now is to stay alive for Jackson"

- Todd suffered a massive heart attack while driving a go-cart during vacation in Aruba

"Dad and Taylor made their annual trek to the go-carts, and were having a great time. On the final lap the cars get slowed down to come into the pits. Taylor and the entire crew noticed quickly that Todd hadn’t come in. That’s when they noticed his car was off into the wall/tires. At about 8:15PM, Todd suffered a massive heart attack, they believe the heart attack made him lose consciousness and drive into the wall. He was wearing a helmet"

"Jorge’s girlfriend Valentina is a trained medical professional and in conjunction with 3 Dutch military men, began CPR until the ambulance came. Todd was brought back, and needed his heart to be shocked a number of times. . .Todd was admitted to the ER where they transferred him to the cardiac building. Upon examination his heart has one fully blocked artery, and three damaged others, the heart was working at 20-25% capacity when regular function is 60%. They could not clearly find a place to “stent”, as the heart was damaged and weak. He requires multiple bypasses. He has been in the ICU fighting battles of waking up, healing his heart, pneumonia, and a blood clot in his leg"
