The Vryburger Movement has recently conducted a team building week where some members of our Movement came together. Together we rediscovered and lived out our identity, strengthening ourselves physically and spiritually. We taught each other new skills and sharpened old ones. Above all, we built a sense of camaraderie and enjoyed the time together.

Our Folk is currently deprived of community and has been transformed into rootless individuals. As a Movement we constantly strive to put a stop to this degeneration in accordance with our aim to rebuild our Folk's identity on all fronts. We revive a sense of community for our families, and among our comrades a brotherhood is born, bound together by our Folk's shared destiny to rule ourselves once again!

Vandag herdenk ons die uitbreek van die tweede Anglo-Boereoorlog op die 11de Oktober 1899. Ons kyk terug op hierdie dag nie net ter herdenking nie, maar ook ter ere van die opofferings wat ons voorvaders gemaak het vir Boerevryheid. By die Vryburger Beweging dien hierdie geskiedkundige datum ook vir ons as 'n herinnering dat ons vandag nog in daardie einste stryd is en dat ware vryheid alleen deur opoffering verkry kan word.

Today, we commemorate the outbreak of the second Anglo-Boer War on the 11th of October 1899. We look back on this day not only in commemoration but also in honor of the sacrifices our ancestors have made for Boer freedom. At the Vryburger Movement, this historic date also serves as a reminder for us that we are still in that very same struggle today and that true freedom can only be achieved through sacrifice.
