Many of us have heard the story of Genesis 6, in which Watchers (angelic servants of God) rebel against the Lord’s command to guide humanity and instead mate with them and produce Nephilim, but why did they do it? What drove these powerful, extraterrestrial (Not earth-born) beings to mate with us and set themselves up as gods in defiance of the one true King of Kings?

I believe the reasoning is three-fold; (Inspiration from Birthright by Tim Alberino)

1. Wives - Adamic man was granted the ability to create his own family, mirroring the divine family of God. These angelic sons of God were not given this right in the heavenly realm, as far as Scripture tells us.

2. Offspring - These men had wives, and as such they could create offspring— children. It's possible these watchers wanted to procreate and have families like the sons of Adam.

3. Dominion - Adam and his offspring (Adamic mankind) was given dominion over the entire realm. These watchers grew jealous of his charge, and wanted to usurp it for themselves. Dominion of earth being Adam's birthright, however, they could not simply take it. A birthright had to be given away, or did it? These Watchers created offspring who held the blood of Adamic man, but were more powerful and dedicated to the machinations of their fathers.

This is a massive piece of the war for this entire realm. Adamic man's birthright is the rule of this realm, yet it has been completely usurped by the fallen Watchers, their Nephilim progeny (who are the gods of this world, the controllers), and their servants (not just Edomite Jews). The last few millennia have been about taking away what rightfully belongs to you given by God Himself, and ruling over you as it suits their prideful desires—chaos in the face of God’s Order, so to speak, not the other way around.
