What is the only commodity that you almost can’t help noticing the price of?

Many people, when it comes to grocery shopping, are receipt savers, bargain hunters, or even are accustomed to surviving on a modest income, but not everyone. I personally only notice cost changes for beef and chicken, and only when it’s a big change.

Almost everyone travels on public roads, one way or another. The one commodity that can truly send up red flags in people’s heads is gasoline/diesel, and it just so happens that you can hardly get from point A to B in America without seeing huge signs advertising the price.

I wonder if mayhaps this is intentional. To what end, I’ll leave to you, but demoralization is high on my list.
