🔈 Yesterday, we had an exciting DeXe DAO Talk on Memecoin DAOs with @crypto_haku, @DumesnilPad, and a surprise guest! Here are the key takeaways:

⚙️ Lack of utility by design: Many memecoins deliberately avoid creating utility for their token. This allows them to be valued purely based on speculation and hype, rather than real metrics.

⚖️ Distrust of democratic governance: Memecoin traders fear that decentralized governance could destroy the "shill and pump" culture that drives memecoins.

🐕 The Shiba Inu DAO example: Shiba Inu plans to create a DAO led by two councils: Charity and Culture & Heritage. This is a promising step toward channeling memecoin wealth into good causes while preserving the viral culture.

📚 Lack of DAO awareness: Most memecoin traders don't realize they can launch a DAO on DeXe in few clicks, sending proceeds to the treasury and allowing the community to decide what happens next. There's a lot of room for education here.

🔄 Paths to improvement: Panelists were surprised that only 97% of memecoins fail, highlighting the need for better survival strategies. DeXe is excited to lead the way in creating better methods for memecoins to thrive.

📜 We just held another DAO Chronicles Twitter space to go over the main news in the DAO world. The DAO world is attracting a lot of research and facing many growing pains. Let's dive into a quick recap:

✨ Vibing in blocs: A team of researchers introduced a new set of metrics for DAOs, called VBE ("vibe") to measure how different blocs of similarly voting wallets behave and balance out governance rules accordingly. E.g. the Golden Boys acted as a bloc in governance hacking of Compound. And inactive voters are always the biggest bloc.

🔐 zkSync has a 3-Body Problem... that is actually a solution. Governed by the Token Assembly, Security Council, and Guardians — the latter two are elected representatives legally and ethically bound to smart contract rules to ensure they really act in the interest of the DAO while having autonomy to use their expertise and wisdom in doing so.

🎯 ROI on new members: ATXDAO has a detailed plan on attracting new members. Coolest part: even though each new member brings revenue to the DAO, the DAO will be very selective, first ranking candidates on DAO-approved criteria and then having team 1:1 interviews with the top ones.
