❕Polkadot’s OpenGov: Best intentions, controversial outcomes

Polkadot is a well-known DAO that recently tried to make DAOs both more democratic and more efficient by launching the Polkadot OpenGov platform.

📌Unfortunately, that decision may have backfired as it resulted in funding proposals from long-term contributors being routinely rejected. This may be the triumph of democracy or the tragedy of inexperience.

▪️There is an interesting suggestion to burn all the ETH in the Nouns DAO treasury in excess of a certain formula amount.

▪️Will Jade Protocol DAO liquidate its entire $31M treasury?

▪️A dive into Tornado Cash’s legal troubles related to alleged money laundering.

❕In September, we prepared the foundation for the release of our DeXe Protocol with a big rebranding: new logo and updated website. Plus, there’s already a product built on top of the Protocol, the DeXe DAO Studio, which is launching a big Ambassador Program.

🔹We also created a new $DEXE on the BNB Chain to use the well-regarded Wormhole bridge. This works with KuCoin too.

🔹Certik completed its audit of our smart-contracts.

🔹DeXe contributors attended Token2049 conference and side events.

🔹DeXe formed an R&D partnership with LTO to bring Real World Assets (RWAs) to the blockchain in a GDPR-compliant way.
