We already know that DAO is a very agile organization that enables many processes to work better. But if we take an even broader view? For example, how DAOs affect our everyday processes.

💡What would happen if we told you that a DAO could be used to regulate family travel or charitable giving much more conveniently?

🔥DeXe passes an audit by Hacken

Hacken has completed their audit of DeXe Protocol’s smart-contracts. The audit was composed of several distinct audits, going back several months in order to account for new code coming in and to be as strict as possible. DeXe received top marks in each category of the audit:

▪️Documentation quality: 10 out of 10
▪️Code quality: 10 out of 10
▪️Test coverage: 100%
▪️Security score: 10 out of 10
▪️Overall: 10 out of 10

📍The earliest audit found 37 issues, 2 of them critical. The latest one found only 3 low-level issues, with 0 medium, high, or critical ones.

You can read their full audit on Hacken’s website or directly here.

This comprehensive and lengthy audit is necessary to look at our smart-contract security from all the angles. Similarly, it’s important to submit to audits from multiple expert groups, with each using their own specialty tools and expertise to find even the slightest vulnerabilities.

There are just a few thoughts about how delegating dead votes of tokens stuck in DAO treasuries could change the governance system. Wonder if it’s possible to use token delegation to even out governance, to make it more fair and equitable.

Can those dead token votes bring more stakeholders into the fold? Can it increase the effectiveness and amount of proposals? Can it prevent exploits and other issues from derailing the DAO? These are just some questions for the DAO community.

Wormhole is a well-trusted bridge that has proven itself highly capable of moving tokens between chains. Now, you can safely and smoothly transfer your $DEXE tokens from the BNB chain to the ETH chain.

📌 A new $DEXE contract for the BNB chain has been deployed.
Contract address:

What actually motivates DAO delegates?

One of the major differences between DAOs and other types of crypto projects where people can buy shares in the form of tokens is that DAO tokens give holders voting power in the DAO, which, of course, is why they’re called governance tokens. But are they actually being used for voting?

🔺Apparently, the current answer is a lot closer to No than to Yes. Unique voter turnout hovers around 7-20% of all tokens held, often dipping much lower.

Could delegating tokens to those who want to actively vote help? Unfortunately, delegation is coming up with the same shortfalls as voting in general. Around 55% of delegates across DAOs have never cast a vote.

Clearly, delegates are not currently motivated to vote. So what could motivate delegates to actively — and meaningfully — use the voting power delegated to them?

✔️We discuss delegate motivation in detail and ask some hard questions in the full article 👉 here

💡Hey DeXers, our next DAO Talk Panel is on Tuesday, September 12th @ 16:00 UTC.

Theme: What actually motivates DAO delegates? Expect a lively discussion between:

▪️Bruno Skvorc, the Founder of RMRK.app and co-founder of CypherMOD
▪️Mahesh Murthy, the Founder of Karma
▪️PaperImperium of GFX Labs

Each guest has a unique experience with DAOs and delegation. Will their views on delegate motivation clash or will they find common ground? Are delegates motivated purely by financial gains? Well, how could those be optimized for effective governance? What if they're not, though — what other motivation could work? Our guests will debate these and other questions.

Is the DAO evolution going in the right direction?

📈DAOs have come a long way in a seemingly short time. Certainly, DAOs have evolved from simple theoretical constructs to complex and varied governance structures with thousands of members and real-world use cases. Yet, has that evolution been going in the right direction? Or is it falling far short of its full potential?

📖We explore those and other questions in the full article 👉 here
