8 Saudi Oil vessels were targeted during the period, 5 in the Red Sea and 3 in the Arabian Sea.

14 military operations were carried out against Saudi military positions and nine operations targeted sites in Riyadh, Najran, Jizan and Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Region.

Operations caused casualties among Saudi forces, damaged or destroyed military facilities and equipment, and set fire to several vessels.

Center has informed the Supreme Court that it is reconsidering the University Grants Commission’s (UGC) Equity Regulations, 2026, which are currently kept in abeyance by the Court.

“I’m not saying which way it will go, but we are reconsidering it,” Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, appearing for the Centre and the UGC, told a Bench led by CJI Surya Kant.

The Court granted the UGC four weeks to file its response to the batch of petitions challenging the regulations. The Court directed the UGC to file one comprehensive counter-affidavit covering the issues raised by all petitioners.

Union Territory of Ladakh has started utilising 90 million litres of glacier water per day, for sustainable water and agricultural security in Ladakh.

Previously lost as untapped runoff into the River Indus, this volume of glacial-melt water from Stok village Nallah in Leh, is now being directly channelized into the Igoo-Phey Irrigation Canal, catering to nearly 12 villages and augmenting irrigation of over 1000 acres of barren land that earlier remained parched due to paucity of water into the canal.
