India’s ONGC Videsh has received a US Treasury licence to fully resume its #oil and gas operations in Venezuela.

1. Passenger Amenities & Sanitation Defects

Missing Infrastructure: About 89% of inspected stations (Out of 512 inspected,458 stations) lacked basic amenities like fans, shelters, and urinals.

Contaminated Water: Water at major hubs tested positive for E. coli due to inadequate chlorination.

Unspent Budgets: The Railways failed to spend 36% to 44% of its passenger amenity funds annually.

2. Financial Mismanagement & Overcharging

Wrongful Surcharges: Passengers were overcharged ₹168 crore for "Superfast" trains that failed to meet minimum speed thresholds.

Lease Violations: Government grants were improperly used to repay lease capital instead of using internal railway revenues.

3. Safety Backlogs & Asset Failures

Delayed Safety Works: Over 20,000 critical safety projects remained incomplete, risking operational safety.

Failed Land Monetisation: The RLDA failed to commercialise any of its 1,000 acres of vacant land, losing massive revenue.

Mike revealed that he had been vomiting every 15 minutes for around 12 hours, which landed him in a hospital. However, he clarified that his illness was not caused by food poisoning.
