With this improved SS1, SSLV’s payload capacity to Low Earth Orbit increases by about 100kg.
SSLV was built for quick, on-demand small satellite launches, and tech transfer to Indian industry is underway for mass production. #ISRO
The upgrades include faster propellant burn rate, better thermal protection, a lighter nozzle, and production-friendly design changes.
Over 600 parameters were monitored, and performance matched predictions.
