8. The Indian Statistical Institute Bill,2026: Converts ISI from a society-based model into a formal statutory entity to strengthen its administration and academic flexibility. Older Council to be replaced by 11-member Board of Governors (BoG) with just 1 Central Government nominee. Research curriculum to also include Data Science in new Policy.

9. The Bankers' Books Evidence Bill, 2026: This Bill repeals and replaces the 135-year-old, colonial-era Bankers' Books Evidence Act,1891. Redefines "bankers' books" to encompass Physical logs, Digital transaction records, Electronic logs, and Cloud-based databases.
