The Union Cabinet on Friday approved Rs 36,441 crore for the expanded Khelo India Scheme over the next five years, including Rs 29,054 crore for Khelo India and Rs 7,387 crore for National Sports Federations — nearly an eight-fold jump from the earlier Rs 425 crore allocation.
