An internal Delhi Police report accessed exclusively by India Today has revealed that hundreds of people present in and around the Cockroach Janata Party(CJP) led protest over NEET Exam irregularities at Delhi's Jantar Mantar had criminal antecedents.

Number of people with criminal records who attended the Jantar Mantar protests:

- Total murder-related attendees: 101
- Attendees with 1–2 criminal cases: 42
- Attendees with 10+ criminal cases: 12
- Attempt-to-murder cases: 62
- Dacoity/robbery cases: 284
- Rape charges: 61
- Molestation charges: 25
- NDPS (narcotics) charges: 67

Bihar government has announced that it will not take any punitive or retaliatory legal action against individuals involved in protests anywhere in Bihar prior to 6:00 PM on July 26.

It will also initiate the withdrawal of all FIRs, criminal complaints and show-cause notices linked to the protests, release all those arrested or detained in such cases, and ensure no future action is taken against the protesters. #Policy

Bindyarani Devi continued the impressive show by weightlifters as she finished third in the women's 58kg final to win a bronze medal at the Commonwealth Games 2026. She lifted a total of 199 kgs in both rounds combined (snatch and clean & jerk).
