Tata Steel will invest Rs 10,000 crore in its Jharkhand projects by 2028 to expand capacity and shift to low-emitting steelmaking, creating 2,000 direct and indirect jobs.

India’s crude oil import bill rose 48% year-on-year to $14.7 billion in June despite volumes falling 7.1% to 18.9 million tonnes, as the Indian basket crude price jumped to $85.47 per barrel amid West Asia supply disruptions.

To ensure availability, refiners increased sourcing from Russia, UAE, Venezuela, Brazil and Angola, with Russia alone meeting about 50% of crude needs, while the net oil and gas bill also climbed 36.4% to $13.1 billion. #Oil

Core infrastructure sectors’ output grew 5% in June under the new series, up from 3.2% in May, with the Commerce & Industry Ministry shifting the base year to 2022-23 and expanding the basket from eight to nine industries by adding iron ore.
