Japanese firm Takeda Biopharmaceuticals has received India’s approval for its dengue vaccine Qdenga for ages 4-60, to be available locally from early 2027. Tata Steel will invest Rs 10,000 crore in its Jharkhand projects by 2028 to expand capacity and shift to low-emitting steelmaking, creating 2,000 direct and indirect jobs.

India’s crude oil import bill rose 48% year-on-year to $14.7 billion in June despite volumes falling 7.1% to 18.9 million tonnes, as the Indian basket crude price jumped to $85.47 per barrel amid West Asia supply disruptions.
