The India Heritage Centre plans to set up a museum in Washington, DC, and has asked the Indian Embassy to use a building it purchased in 2013; if that fails, they will buy alternate land in the capital. The museum will feature 10 large galleries covering themes from ancient innovations and spirituality to colonial resistance and future leadership, with VR, interactive exhibits, and multimedia displays. A similar sister museum is also planned for Atlanta, Georgia, with more locations to follow.
