Hyderabad-based Coempt EduTeck built the software stack behind “Onmark”, the digital evaluation platform used by CBSE for answer-sheet assessment.
Corporate records showed overlaps in the leadership of Coempt and Globarena Technologies, including director VSN Raju.
Globarena had previously come under scrutiny during the 2019 Telangana Intermediate Board results controversy, when technical and evaluation-related issues triggered widespread protests after thousands of students reported discrepancies in marks.
The episode had snowballed into a major political controversy in the state and was linked to 20 student suicides at the time.
Basically the company which did a major scam in Telangana state board results changed its name and was selected by CBSE to build their OSM website.
