A PIL has been filed in the Supreme Court seeking legal action against the activities of the self-styled political entity “Cockroach Janta Party” for the alleged misuse and commercial exploitation of verbal observations made by the Supreme Court.

The plea also seeks an independent probe, preferably by the CBI, into allegations concerning “fake advocates” holding fraudulent degrees who exist within legal practice.

“The emergence of entities and symbolic campaigns allegedly using courtroom expressions for publicity, trade applications, commercial engagement, and digital mobilisation demonstrates dangerous commodification."
