โข Effective engagement range of up to 30 km
โข Launch interval of 4 seconds per munition
โข Adjustable launch speeds based on munition weight
โข Operates at altitudes up to 4,500 meters

On May 10 2025, India launched two BrahMos missiles at Nur Khan Airbase in Rawalpindi. In response, Pakistan fired at least 18 HQ-9 interceptors to stop them. Despite the heavy defensive effort, the Brahmos still hit their targets accurately.
At $3M per interceptor, Pakistan spent ~$54M in a single incident (and that only of interceptors cost) - raising serious questions about cost-effectiveness, especially when the airbase was getting pounded , and the BrahMos used were from older stock.
